WHS Marching Band's theme for 2006 was "Batman." The original score written by Danny Elfman. As it turned out, due to
their overwhelming success throughout the marching band season, 2006 was appropriately dubbed the "Year of the Bat."
With a little something extra added to each performance it was no wonder that for the first time in 28 years the band became
#1 in their division at the Championships in Hershey. In November of that year Warwick competed against six bands in
the "Liberty Open" Division. While each band performed at their best, Warwick was able to top out at an astounding score
of 96.85! Additionally, the band took home awards for High Music, High Visuals, and High overall affects. To say the least,
the band parents were so proud of their student's achievements that it was amazing to know that many of the parents who
had once been band members themselves remembered when they last took first place back in 1978!
"Thank you Marching Band of 2006 for bringing
the First Place Trophy back home!"
